The Solemnity of the Feast of St Mary Magdalene (Patronal) - 26 July 2020

We celebrate the Solemnity of the Feast of St Mary Magdalene, our patron saint, the first to see the risen Lord, and the Apostles to the Apostles, the first to preach the gospel.

Join us HERE. (The link will go active Sunday morning.)

If you would like to participate, the leaflet is available HERE. It has all the texts of the prayers and hymns.

This is our great patronal feast, and even when we must keep everything very small for safety’s sake, creating a celebration worthy of the day requires a great deal of effort from many people. Here are some of the people whose hard work made the feast as glorious as it is.

Andrew Adair, Music Director and Organist.

Rob Castle and Reed Nelson, who sang in the service.

Kathryn Smith, who recorded the music of the mass with Rob.

Richard Woolrich, server and reader.

Mary Lou Harrison, reader.

Nora Lowe, thurifer.

Jo-Ann Dawson, hymn co-ordinator.

Christopher Dawson, technical assistance for hymn production.

The Gallery Choir and Friends of the Church of St Mary Magdalene, who sang from their homes.

May you be filled with joy and gladness on this wonderful day; with love and blessings from all of us here at SMM!
