New Ministry Celebration

With over 100 in attendance - clergy from Parkdale-West Toronto and beyond, friends from Fr. Eric’s previous parish and many from SMM we celebrated our new ministry together. The Gallery Choir under director Robert Dixon chose an appropriate Willan mass along with a stunnig anthem composed by previous director and composer Stephanie Martin - with instrumental accompaniments by Katherine Anderson and Gillian Howard - followed by a wonderful reception. Thanks to Fr. Tay Moss for the photos.

R.I.P Elizabeth II September 2022

Our bells were rung in commemoration before Evensong. A book of remembrance was placed at the back of the church after the ringing of the bell and solemn evensong. It will remain until the funeral of Her Majesty and then will be sent to the Palace.

Meeting in person

The Wednesday Discussion Group has met for more than 20 years and maintained its pattern non-stop on Zoom throughout the recent pandemic. Some of us were delighted to meet in person at nearby Cafe Diplimatico for the first time in more than two years. Its outdoor patio has been a favorite neighborhood meeting place of choice for years and we hope to do it again soon.

The Feast of the Holy Cross gives additional reasons to gather.. We welcome Bishop of Toronto as celebrant and the Rev Canon. Alison Barnett-Cowan as homilist. A reception will follow.

Blessing of the Backpacks - 11 September 2022

School is starting and people of all ages gain new plans and resolution as the school year begins in September.. Fr Eric urged all of us to bring a back pack to be blessed after the 9:30 mass on September 11. This includes those who have not attended school for a while. We’ll dust off the ones in our closets and bring them in.
